One of the most feared bounty hunters throughout the galaxy, the Trandoshan male Bossk was son of Cradossk and known for using the hunting instincts of his species to hunt Wookiees and then skin the ones that he caught. Bossk was not fond of Chewbacca or his partner Han Solo who he faced on different occasions. He was both a frequent associate and foe of Boba Fett, with Bossk acting as something of both his mentor and a bodyguard throughout their time together. After a prison break after their failed attempt to kill Mace Windu, Bossk had joined a group of bounty hunters with Boba as leader, taking jobs for various clients. Bossk didn't care much about the vendetta or the politics, just as long as Bossk got paid. After the birth of a Galactic Empire, Bossk would answer the call of a Lord Darth Vader to find and capture a famous rebel ship, the Millennium Falcon, a task that put Bossk in direct competition with Boba.

Biography Edit

Early Life Edit

Bossk was born on Trandosha, son of the hunter Cradossk. It is said after Bossk had hatched, he ate each of his unhatched siblings, which made his father proud. In his youth, Bossk had been taught by his father things like how to boost his speeder. When he reached mature age, he like his father before him did become a bounty hunter. When he looks back on his youth he regards fathers as being overrated and wasn't so comfortable with people asking questions about his father. At a point in his career, Bossk procured a freighter named Hound's Tooth, that became his main transport for plying his trade as a hunter. He started his career hunting Wookiees, which was thought by a great many to be suicidal if attempted by other species. Soon he made a name for himself and took non-Wookiees bounties.

Bounty Career Edit

Mentoring Boba Fett Edit

Bossk eventually became one of the most feared Bounty Hunters through the galaxy and was a member of the Bounty Hunters' Guild as well, an institution that regulated the bounty-hunting trade. During the Clone Wars, Bossk teamed up with fellow bounty hunters Aurra Sing and an Klatooinian Castas to mentor an young Boba Fett and assist him with his vendetta against the renowned Jedi Master Mace Windu. Bossk’s relationship with young Boba Fett dated back to this hunter's early career, when Bossk joined Aurra, Fett and Castas on a mission to avenge hunter Jango Fett’s death. The mission ended with Bossk imprisoned at an Republic prison on the planet of Coruscant, where he served as the young hunter’s muscle. Their relationship continued after their release, with jobs on worlds such as Quarzite. By the era of an Galactic Empire, he was apart of the Guild. Their Guild had developed a partnership with this Empire and then pursued acquisitions targeted by a government bounty. As an licensed hunter, he was issued with an Peace-Keeping Certificate.

Reign of the Emperor Edit

After the rise of the Empire, Bossk traveled to a Outer Rim world Lothal to collect a bounty on the Dug criminal Gronson Takkaro, who had jumped bail in the Ahakista system. During the Lothal trip, he joined forces with Force-sensitive street urchin Ezra Bridger to stop a corrupt Imperial Security Bureau Lieutenant Jenkes. At a point early in his career he had a run-in with Chewbacca and Han Solo that left him vengeful and angrier than most other Trandoshans. As a direct heir of their Bounty Hunters Guild, he had been plotting his own father's death for some time. Their Guild was everything to the brutal hunter, and he refused to watch his father's senile claws destroy what was rightfully his. After enacting his brutally efficient plot to overthrow Cradossk and set himself up as leader, Bossk went on a bounty with several hunters where he narrowly avoided a assassination attempt. Bossk returned to the surprise of his father, and violently murdered him using his father's own weapon an ornamental dagger, and devoured him as the Guild complex erupted into a massive firefight.

After this, however, the Guild had been split. Bossk was the leader of an Guild group which consisted mostly of younger hunters, and was fixed on destroying their other Guild faction, which he saw as old, lazy hunters. In the aftermath of this Bounty Hunter conflict, many Bounty Hunters were killed, but some of the notable survivors did include himself, Dengar, and several other hunters. Even though Han Solo and Chewbacca had slipped through the claws before, he was one of several hunters hired by an Dark Lord Vader to hunt down and capture Solo. The Trandoshan took it as a point of honor and revenge to capture his wretched Wookiee enemy and his weak Human counterpart. However, he failed to collect on this bounty, with his old partner Boba Fett beating him to the target. Bossk later met up with Fett at Jabba's Palace then subsequently accompanied Jabba's retinue aboard the Khetanna. During the rebellion's infiltration in Jabba's Palace, he was briefly spotted during performances by Max Rebo Band. He later made his escape sometime during an later battle.

Retiring from the Hunt Edit

Quite some time following the death of Jabba the Hutt and the battle at the Great Pit, after Boba Fett's supposed death, Bossk had another run-in with the bounty hunter and then realized that Fett hadn't in fact been killed by the Sarlacc in a Great Pit of Carkoon in the Dune Sea. Years following the Battle of Endor and the Galactic Civil War, Bossk then retired from professional bounty hunting during the era of the New Republic.
